Pharos Takes Aim at Real-World Assets with Novel Approach
Pharos, a new entrant in the Layer 1 blockchain landscape, has launched its mainnet with a unique focus on real-world assets (RWAs) and a novel approach called RealFi. This approach seeks to embed financial use cases directly into the network, rather than adapting existing general-purpose systems.
The network's co-founder and CEO, Wish Wu, believes that most blockchains today are 'incredibly powerful' but lack the infrastructure necessary for finance. He argues that this creates fragmentation, which is a major bottleneck for RWA adoption.
Pharos aims to address this issue by enabling users and institutions to interact with tokenized assets within a consistent, compliance-ready framework. This would allow liquidity to flow more freely across a shared financial environment, rather than being siloed on individual platforms.
