UK Widens Sanctions Net Against Russia with New Targets
The United Kingdom has taken further action to isolate Russia's economy by expanding its sanctions list against the country.
According to a statement from the UK government, 18 new sanctions have been introduced targeting entities that operate in crypto and illicit financial networks. These networks are accused of assisting Russia in evading international restrictions.
The expanded sanctions list includes entities from seven countries: Russia, the UK, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, the United Arab Emirates, Panama, and El Salvador.
