Vitalik Proposes Ethereum 'Extremely Lean Chain' for Efficiency and Privacy
Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has proposed an 'Extremely Lean Chain' to improve efficiency and privacy on the Ethereum network.
The proposal would reduce consensus state using ZK proofs, allowing for simplified blockchain operations without compromising security.
A key feature of the proposal is moving validator balance updates into zero-knowledge (ZK) proofs, which could improve efficiency and reduce data processed by the network.
The 'Extremely Lean Chain' also introduces daily re-anonymization of validators to enhance staking privacy, making it more difficult to track staking activity over extended periods.
