Cebuana Lhuillier Powers Up Cross-Border Remittances with Fireblocks Stablecoin Rail

Cebuana Lhuillier has partnered with Fireblocks to build a stablecoin-powered payment rail for its cross-border remittance business. This new infrastructure, running on the Solana blockchain, aims to settle domestic and cross-border transfers faster and more cheaply than Cebuana Lhuillier's existing system.

The partnership will supply Cebuana Lhuillier with wallet technology, reconciliation tools, and Fireblocks' Network for Payments infrastructure. This allows Cebuana Lhuillier and its international partners to fund settlement accounts directly, aiming to speed up liquidity across remittance corridors.

Cebuana Lhuillier operates over 3,500 branches nationwide, one of the largest financial services footprints in the Philippines. The company's president, Jean Henri Lhuillier, emphasized that customers are already living in a digital future and expect instant money transfers.
