Crypto Venture Capitalists Secure $9.26 Billion in Q1 2026
Crypto venture capitalists (VCs) have recorded notable capital inflows in Q1 2026, despite a decline in the number of deals. According to exclusive data from CryptoRank's Fundraising Digest, VCs collected up to $9.26 billion across nearly 280 deals.
The total funding represents a 13.6% year-over-year surge, with late-stage deals dominating the market. Late-stage funding saw a significant spike, with Series C+ rounds jumping by 320% quarter-over-quarter and 1,020% year-over-year. This underscores a priority for proven initiatives over early-stage innovation.
The trend highlights a shifting market dynamic, where established players are dominating new entrants. The number of active VCs has decreased to its lowest level in the past twelve quarters, with only six hundred players remaining in the sector.
