Ethereum Exchange Inflows Hit Four-Month High Amid Price Decline
Ethereum's exchange inflows have reached a significant milestone, hitting a four-month high according to CryptoQuant data. However, this reading is not entirely clear-cut, as the accompanying reserve and netflow figures introduce complexity to the narrative.
The data shows that total exchange reserves across all platforms fell by 1.71% in 24 hours, while exchange Reserve USD contracted by 14.35%. This suggests a sharp decline in the value of coins held on exchanges due to both price drops and reductions in coin-denominated reserves.
Despite the high inflows, outflows exceeded inflows by 274,379 ETH over the same period, resulting in a net negative flow. This mixed signal implies that some coins are cycling back out of exchanges rather than being absorbed by spot market sell orders.
