Bitmine's Big Ethereum Purchase May Signal End of 'Mini-Crypto Winter'
Bitmine Immersion Technologies (BMNR) has made its largest Ethereum purchase this year, acquiring over 65,000 tokens. This move follows a series of sustained purchases by the company, with Chairman Tom Lee anticipating that it may signal the end of the 'mini-crypto winter'.
The purchase brings Bitmine's total Ethereum holdings to 4.6 million ETH, representing nearly 3.86% of the circulating supply. The average price at which these tokens were bought is $2,072 per ETH.
In a statement, Lee emphasized that the company has been increasing its pace of Ethereum buys in recent weeks. He noted that the acquisition of 65,341 ETH last week is significantly higher than the average of 45k to 50k weekly prior to that.
