Litecoin Whales Load Up as Price Hits Four-Year Low
Litecoin whales are quietly accumulating coins while the price of LTC sits at its lowest level since June 2022, near $43.
The number of wallets holding at least 10,000 LTC grew by 7% over the past five months, adding 42 addresses to reach a total of 648. This accumulation is happening despite Litecoin's price being flat and trading volume reaching year lows around $6.02 billion.
LitVM, Litecoin's first EVM-compatible smart contract layer, has gained traction as a potential catalyst for the network's growth. The project aims to bring DeFi, tokenization, and Web3 functionality to Litecoin without altering its base-layer consensus.
