The Open Network (TON) has been making strides in becoming a widely adopted blockchain network. With its recent upgrade, Catchain 2.0, the network's processing speed has increased by 10 times, and transaction confirmation time is now under 1 second.

This upgrade has improved the overall performance of the network by approximately 10 times, and reduced transaction fees by sixfold. The integration of Telegram's acton development toolchain has also been announced, which will enable developers to create AI-supported smart contracts with increased efficiency.

While TON has achieved significant technical advancements, challenges remain, including regulatory clarity, wallet UX, and ongoing ramp development. Pavel Durov, the founder of Telegram, has emphasized the importance of addressing these issues to ensure the widespread adoption of TON.
