Vitalik Buterin Surpasses Initial Sales Target with Over 17,000 ETH Sold

Vitalik Buterin has been selling Ethereum to support long-term ecosystem initiatives amidst the cryptocurrency's volatility.

The Ethereum co-founder plans to liquidate a portion of his holdings to fund projects focused on privacy and open-source development. Proceeds from the sales will help reinforce the network's infrastructure during this period of elevated volatility.

Notably, Buterin still controls approximately 224,106 ETH, worth over $460 million at current prices, despite selling more than 17,000 units.
