Revolut Axes USDT Support as Regulatory Compliance Takes Precedence
Revolut, Europe's largest fintech company, has announced it will delist USDT from its platform. The removal process began on July 6 when purchases of USDT became unavailable. New deposits are no longer accepted after July 30, and support for the stablecoin will officially end on August 31 at 12:00 PM GMT.
During this period, users can continue selling USDT through Revolut or transfer their holdings to external cryptocurrency wallets. Remaining balances will be automatically converted into fiat currency using the prevailing market exchange rate after the deadline.
The decision reflects compliance adjustments as European fintech platforms refine digital asset offerings under evolving regulations. The announcement did not describe any operational issues involving USDT but focused on service availability and adherence to regulatory requirements.
