Buterin Declares Obfuscation the Crypto Industry's Biggest Threat
Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum, has labeled obfuscation as the 'Final Boss of Cryptography' in a new series.
The term refers to the practice of obscuring or concealing information, particularly sensitive data, within cryptocurrency code or transactions. According to Buterin, this technique poses significant challenges for security and regulatory efforts, making it difficult to detect and prevent malicious activities.
In his view, obfuscation has become a major concern in the crypto space, allowing bad actors to hide their tracks and evade law enforcement. This is a problem that goes beyond just cryptocurrency; Buterin believes it affects the broader tech industry as well.
