Spacecoin Expands Decentralized Internet Network with Satellite Constellation

Spacecoin is a satellite-based decentralized internet network that seeks to establish a shared layer of communication for the orbital economy. The project has deployed physical infrastructure, including satellites in low-Earth orbit, which enable testing of intersatellite links and direct communication between satellites.

The network allows disparate orbital assets to efficiently exchange information, potentially laying the groundwork for an interconnected space economy. It also enables satellite operators to monetize unused capacity through a digital currency called SPACE.

Spacecoin's goal is to move toward full commercial deployment by 2027 as additional orbital infrastructure comes online. The project has already facilitated several key milestones, including the world's first end-to-end blockchain transaction through space and the testing of intersatellite links.
