US Seizes $1 Billion in Iranian Crypto Holdings, Targets Linked Properties
The US Treasury Secretary has announced a significant development in the ongoing campaign against Iran's financial activities. According to reports, around $1 billion in Iranian cryptocurrency holdings has been seized by US authorities.
In a statement, the Treasury Secretary emphasized that some account holders may still be unaware of the seizure, and encouraged them to investigate their assets.
The move is part of a broader effort to confiscate properties linked to Tehran and recover funds allegedly stolen from ordinary Iranians. The Treasury Secretary claimed that the funds in question are 'money that's stolen from the Iranian people.'
