UK Cryptocurrency Trading Adoption Remains Elusive

Cryptocurrency trading has been around for over a decade, but its adoption in the UK still lags behind. According to recent data from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), only 10% of UK adults have owned cryptocurrency at some point. This leaves nearly 90% who have never invested in digital assets.

The FCA's cautious stance and stricter rules for crypto marketing have contributed to the gap. While regulation improves trust long-term, it slows short-term growth and has led to some platforms exiting the UK market due to compliance costs.
