Digital Currency Emerge as Alternative to Cryptocurrency
The recent pause in military operations against Iran has brought attention back to other ongoing conflicts, including the war on cryptocurrency. While the idea of Bitcoin as an alternative currency was initially popular, it has been largely debunked due to its volatility and lack of practical applications.
One area where cryptocurrencies do show potential is in making large, illicit payments more efficient. However, law enforcement agencies have been able to track and recover funds from these transactions, limiting their usefulness for illegal activities.
A digital currency, on the other hand, could provide a secure and efficient payment system that eliminates the need for intermediaries like banks and credit card companies. This would allow individuals and corporations to make payments at zero cost, reducing fees and penalties associated with traditional banking systems.
