Crypto Lags Behind in Voter Priorities Ahead of Midterms
A recent poll conducted by Public Opinion Strategies on behalf of CoinDesk has shed light on the priorities of registered American voters in the lead-up to the 2026 midterms. The survey found that cryptocurrency ranked last among election priorities, with only 1% of respondents naming it as their top concern.
While majorities of independents, Democrat-leaning voters, and base Democrats held unfavorable views of cryptocurrency, 22% of respondents said it is an important issue and 40% would vote for a candidate aligned on digital assets. This suggests that despite low priority rankings, crypto remains a relevant consideration for many Americans.
The survey also found that AI fared better in the same poll, with a net positive result that cryptocurrency has not achieved. Additionally, only 27% of respondents said they had ever invested, traded, or used cryptocurrency, while another 27% said they had not but might one day.
