Bitcoin Nears $80,000 Amid Institutional Demand Surge
The cryptocurrency market has seen a notable increase in recent days, with Bitcoin's value approaching $80,000. According to industry observer Lian, this rise can be attributed to the influx of new investment funds into exchange-traded funds (ETFs) that track the price of Bitcoin.
Lian notes that while macroeconomic uncertainty and ongoing conference activity are also contributing factors, the primary driver of institutional demand for Bitcoin is its perceived value as a safe-haven asset. The U.S. Federal Reserve's relatively low interest rates have led to increased investor interest in alternative assets like cryptocurrencies.
