Bitwise CIO Names Top 4 Crypto Assets for 2026 Cycle

Bitwise's Chief Investment Officer, Matt Hougan, has identified four key crypto assets that he believes investors should prioritize for the 2026 cycle: Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), and Chainlink (LINK).

Hougan highlighted the potential of sovereign buying of Bitcoin, stating that the market is currently underestimating its probability. He estimates the likelihood of this occurring at 10-25%, which could lead to a significant price increase, potentially reaching $500K.

In addition to his bullish views on Bitcoin, Hougan also emphasized the importance of diversification in smart contract platforms. He suggests that investors should consider buying a 'basket' of assets rather than putting all their eggs in one basket.
