Paysafe Expands Regulated Crypto Services Across European Economic Area

Paysafe, a leading global payments platform, has secured a critical regulatory approval that will enable it to expand its digital wallet services to new markets in Europe.

The company's Skrill and Neteller wallets have been granted a CryptoAsset Service Provider (CASP) licence under the EU's Markets in CryptoAssets Regulation (MiCA), allowing them to offer fully regulated crypto services across the European Economic Area (EEA).

This development is particularly significant for Germany, where Paysafe can now operate its crypto services without restrictions. The country has one of the most sophisticated financial ecosystems in Europe and a strong focus on compliance.

Paysafe's Chief Product Officer, Bob Legters, highlighted the importance of this licence: 'This milestone reinforces our commitment to enabling the safe, secure and responsible use of digital assets across Europe.'
