US Seizes Over $580 Million in Crypto Linked to Chinese Transnational Crime

The U.S. Department of Justice has made significant strides in combating international scams and financial crimes by seizing cryptocurrency linked to Chinese transnational criminal organizations.

As part of a comprehensive strategy, two notable law enforcement initiatives have played crucial roles: the DC Scam Center and the Strike Force.

The Strike Force is a collaborative effort that targets these transnational networks, highlighting their global reach. In just three months, this initiative has led to the freezing, seizing, and forfeiting of cryptocurrency worth over $580 million from these criminals.
