Plasma's XPL Token Surges 30% Ahead of Tiered Card Launch
The native token of Plasma's blockchain, XPL, has surged by approximately 30% in anticipation of the upcoming launch of tiered card memberships for its neobank app, Plasma One.
Plasma One is a Visa-backed card that allows users to transact, earn yields, and receive cashback directly from their stablecoin balances. The card operates in over 150 countries and works with millions of merchants globally.
The new feature will reward users based on how much XPL they lock, effectively creating a staking-like incentive tied to a physical Visa card.
At current prices, XPL trades at around $0.07 to $0.08, a far cry from its all-time high of $1.54 reached in September 2025 when the market cap exceeded $2 billion.
