Bitcoin Drops Below $77K Amid Mixed Market Sentiment
The cryptocurrency market experienced a decline on Tuesday, with Bitcoin dropping below $77,000 after struggling to break through the $79,000 level. This development follows a pattern of failed breakouts at this resistance point over the past eight trading sessions.
Bitcoin's price fell by 2.4% in 24 hours, reaching $76,923. The rest of the top 10 cryptocurrencies also experienced declines, with Ether dropping 3.7%, Solana falling 3.9%, and XRP slipping 3.2%. Only TRON and Dogecoin managed to hold positive territory.
Analysts are divided on what is driving price action in the market. Some attribute the decline to short squeezes in derivatives markets, while others point to a combination of retail demand, institutional buying, and limited supply as the base for further upside.
