Crypto Market Shifts Favor Tokens with Real Revenue and Utility
CryptoQuant CEO Ki Young Ju recently identified three altcoin sectors that are poised to survive the current market shakeout. According to him, the era of narrative-only tokens is over, and only those with real revenue, businesses, and alignment with global finance trends will make it.
The first category he mentioned are 'global internet companies with tokenized market layers', which include Binance's BNB Coin and TON blockchain's GRAM token. These tokens are backed by established businesses with user bases and long-term operational commitment, making them more viable than traditional equity listings.
Ju also highlighted DeFi protocols with actual revenue, such as Hyperliquid's DEX, which has seen its HYPE token jump 31% in the last seven days and almost 70% across the last month. He noted that tokens from 'high-quality' projects with credible teams and governance systems can offer huge upside.
The analyst also suggested that projects aligned with broader financial trends, including stablecoins and real-world asset tokenization, as well as AI agents, could be a major growth area.
