Parfin CEO Credits Brazil's Crypto-Friendly Regulators for Company's Success
Blockchain infrastructure provider Parfin has been at the forefront of cryptocurrency adoption in Latin America, particularly in Brazil. The company's CEO, Marcus Viriato, credits Brazil's supportive regulators for giving Parfin a head start in the region.
Viriato notes that regulatory clarity was lacking in Europe and the US when he founded Parfin six years ago. In contrast, Brazilian regulators have been proactive in embracing tokenization and crypto regulation, which has enabled Parfin to establish itself as a major player in the region.
Parfin's Enigma protocol is designed to enable confidential blockchain transactions for financial institutions and central bank digital currency (CBDC) systems. The company's research team includes cryptographers with expertise in privacy technologies such as Zerocash, which has been instrumental in developing the Enigma protocol.
