Ripple CEO Reaffirms Anti-Tribalism Stance, Emphasizes AI's Growth Potential

Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse has made headlines again with his remarks on crypto tribalism and the use of artificial intelligence (AI) at the company.

In an interview at Consensus Miami 2026, Garlinghouse reiterated that he is not an XRP maximalist and wants to see Bitcoin succeed. He believes that a multi-chain world is the future, rather than a one-chain world dominated by a single cryptocurrency.

Garlinghouse also addressed concerns about AI, stating that it is being used at Ripple to grow and hire more people, rather than cutting jobs. He emphasized that companies using AI as an excuse for layoffs may be hiding bigger management issues behind the technology.
