Hyperliquid Surpasses Solana in Trading Activity, Raises Questions About Market Cap
Hyperliquid has been making waves in the cryptocurrency market with its rapid growth in trading activity and price performance. According to data from DefiLlama, Hyperliquid has surpassed Solana as the leading chain for perpetual trading, with a significant gap in volume between the two assets.
The crossover in prices between Hyperliquid (HYPE) and Solana (SOL) was brief but notable, with HYPE reaching an all-time high above $73 while SOL hovered near $72. This development has added fuel to the growth narrative of Hyperliquid, which is increasingly becoming a force to be reckoned with in the market.
However, despite its growing momentum, Solana's market cap remains significantly higher due to its larger token supply. With over 570 million SOL in circulation compared to HYPE's 250 million tokens, Solana's valuation advantage is substantial. But as Hyperliquid continues to gain traction and trading activity, the question arises: for how long will this disparity remain?
