NPCI Unveils Drunix Blockchain Platform for Tokenisation and Digital Assets

The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has introduced Drunix, an open-source blockchain platform designed to support tokenisation use cases and digital asset structures.

Drunix is built as an enhanced version of Hyperledger Fabric, aiming to provide organisations with a scalable and efficient foundation for developing blockchain-based applications while maintaining privacy, governance, and interoperability.

The key highlights of Drunix include its open-source framework, based on Hyperledger Fabric, designed specifically for tokenisation, improved scalability, parallel transaction processing, SQL database support, enterprise-grade governance, and multi-organisation networks.
