Grayscale Seeks SEC Approval for Worldcoin ETF
Grayscale has filed an S-1 registration statement with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to launch a Grayscale Worldcoin (WLD) ETF.
The proposed fund, which would trade on Nasdaq under the ticker GWLD, is designed to give investors exposure to Worldcoin through a traditional brokerage account without needing to buy the token directly.
The Grayscale Worldcoin ETF will passively hold WLD and aims to track the token's market price, as measured by the CoinDesk Worldcoin Benchmark Rate.
The filing comes after Grayscale expanded its lineup of regulated crypto investment products over the past year with funds tied to assets such as XRP, Dogecoin (DOGE), Solana (SOL), Chainlink (LINK), and Avalanche (AVAX).
