BlackRock Expands Crypto Holdings with $153 Million Transfer to Coinbase
BlackRock has made significant moves in the cryptocurrency market by transferring over $153 million in Bitcoin and Ethereum to Coinbase. The asset manager's decision to deposit large sums of crypto assets into the exchange highlights its growing involvement in the space.
The transfers, reported by Onchain Lens, consist of 2,200 Bitcoin valued at approximately $149.13 million and 2,417 Ethereum valued at around $4.84 million. These transactions underscore BlackRock's commitment to expanding its presence in the crypto market.
Coinbase holds about 12% of global crypto assets and safeguards most U.S. spot crypto ETFs, making it an attractive destination for large investors like BlackRock.
