Chainlink's CCIP Surpasses $21 Billion in Transferred Volume
Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) has reached a significant milestone, surpassing $21 billion in cumulative transferred volume and supporting over $62 billion in cross-chain tokens. This achievement was announced on July 10, 2026.
The CCIP now operates across more than 60 blockchains, with monthly transaction volumes reaching roughly $18 billion earlier this year. In addition to its existing integrations, the protocol has added 26 new integrations spanning 17 different blockchains since the beginning of 2026.
Asset migrations to CCIP have exceeded $7.2 billion since May 2026, with a notable migration from Mantle's MNT Super Portal amounting to $2.5 billion. Chainlink first introduced the concept of CCIP in August 2021 and launched its mainnet in July 2023, followed by general availability in April 2024.
CCIP has established partnerships with major institutions such as SWIFT, ANZ Bank, and BNY Mellon, solidifying its position in the cross-chain market. However, it faces competition from other protocols like LayerZero, Wormhole, and Axelar, each with their own security models and go-to-market strategies.
