Boerse Stuttgart Unveils Pan-European Blockchain Settlement System

Boerse Stuttgart's Seturion has taken a significant step towards establishing a pan-European blockchain-based securities settlement system. The platform, which enables tokenized securities trading, has partnered with three prominent financial institutions: Societe Generale, its crypto subsidiary SG-FORGE, and online broker flatexDEGIRO.

Under the agreement, Societe Generale will issue tokenized structured securities, such as turbo warrants and investment certificates, on Seturion. This innovative approach will allow for increased liquidity and accessibility in the financial markets.

SG-FORGE, which holds a Markets in Crypto-Assets authorization from French regulators, will settle transactions using its CoinVertible euro and dollar stablecoins, EURCV and USDCV. This move is expected to streamline the settlement process and reduce costs associated with traditional methods.
