Binance Loosens VIP Requirements and Boosts OTC Trading Multiplier
Binance has made significant changes to its VIP program, aimed at making it more accessible and flexible for users. As of July 21, 2026, the exchange will lower the wallet asset requirement for VIP 3 status from $3 million to $1 million.
This revision is designed to streamline access to mid-tier institutional benefits, such as preferential fee structures, elevated account limits, advanced market intelligence, and exclusive event invitations. Qualified users will also gain access to these perks more quickly than before.
The exchange has also revised how over-the-counter (OTC) spot trading volume is counted toward VIP qualification. OTC spot trading volume will now be applied at a 4x multiplier when calculated as part of spot trading volume, effectively broadening institutional crypto access across Binance tiers up to VIP 9.
Binance confirmed that VIP trading fees remain unchanged, and users who meet the updated criteria will be automatically upgraded daily with their tier reflecting the highest qualification path achieved.
