Bitmine Makes Significant Ethereum Holdings Increase

Bitmine, a prominent player in the cryptocurrency market, has made substantial additions to its Ethereum holdings. In a recent development, the company purchased 5,000 ETH directly from the Ethereum Foundation through an over-the-counter transaction.

This acquisition is part of Bitmine's accelerated weekly accumulation strategy, with the company having added 60,999 ETH to its treasury in the past week alone. According to Tom Lee, Chairman of Bitmine Immersion Technologies, this pace exceeds the recent weekly average, which ranged between 45,000 and 50,000 ETH.

As a result of these purchases, Bitmine now controls approximately 4.596 million ETH, representing around 3.81% of Ethereum's total supply. The company's treasury holds a significant portion of its assets, with approximately $11.5 billion in crypto holdings, cash, and investments.
