Cloudflare and OpenAI Deepen AI Integration with New Research Pilot

Cloudflare and OpenAI have launched a new research pilot to further explore the integration of AI technologies. This development builds on their existing partnership, which has already produced tangible products such as Agent Cloud, a platform for enterprise AI infrastructure.

Agent Cloud integrates OpenAI's GPT-5.4 and Codex models, enabling enterprises to develop, deploy, and scale autonomous AI agents at production level. The announcement of this product in April 2026 saw Cloudflare's stock price rise by 7%.

The new research pilot aims to deepen the integration of AI technologies between Cloudflare and OpenAI. This collaboration is significant, especially given that Cloudflare provides infrastructure for various decentralized applications, including Ethereum and IPFS gateways, as well as DDoS protection services for major crypto exchanges.
