Aave Unveils V4 Architecture with Hub-and-Spoke Design

Aave, a leading decentralized lending protocol, has announced the launch of its latest version, V4, on Ethereum mainnet. The new system introduces a hub-and-spoke architecture that aims to provide a more efficient and scalable solution for real-world asset (RWA) collateral and institutional structured credit markets.

The hub-and-spoke design allows each spoke to define its own risk appetite, collateral policies, and liquidation rules while drawing on shared Hub liquidity. This approach enables the protocol to cater to a broader range of users, including institutions, without fragmenting the overall liquidity pool.

Aave's founder, Stani Kulechov, has outlined his vision for V4 as a core infrastructure for regulated RWA pipelines and on-chain credit products. He believes that this new architecture will help to move the next trillion dollars in assets onto the blockchain.
