XRP Ledger Foundation Welcomes David Schwartz as Honorary Board Member

The XRP Ledger Foundation has appointed David Schwartz as an Honorary Board Member. Schwartz is one of the original architects of the XRP Ledger, which he developed alongside Arthur Britto and Jed McCaleb in 2011.

The XRP Ledger was designed as a faster and more energy-efficient alternative to Bitcoin, focusing on low transaction costs and scalability. Over the years, Schwartz has remained active within the crypto community, frequently engaging with developers and XRP supporters on social media.

As Ripple's CTO Emeritus, Schwartz will provide valuable guidance on protocol upgrades, validator operations, and ecosystem development. His appointment is expected to strengthen the group's technical leadership and support future innovation within the XRP Ledger network.
