UK Couple Sued Over Bitcoin Theft by Estranged Wife

A recent UK High Court decision has allowed a lawsuit to move forward in the case of Ping Fai Yuen against his estranged wife, Fun Yung Li. The dispute centers around the alleged theft of 2,323 bitcoin worth approximately $172 million from Yuen's hardware wallet. According to court filings, Li used CCTV cameras installed in their home to secretly obtain the recovery phrase and transferred the funds without her husband's permission. The court has agreed that this case can proceed under different legal claims related to conversion and breach of trust.
