Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has sparked interest with the temporary posting of Manila-based job openings on LinkedIn. The listings for Regional Marketing Specialist and Ads Implementation Specialist were available on both Binance's careers website and the professional networking platform.
The roles, which had attracted over 100 applicants, indicated a potential expansion into local marketing and digital advertising efforts. However, after a brief appearance, the job postings were removed from both platforms.
Binance has faced regulatory challenges in the Philippines, including an order to block access to its website and mobile applications by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) last year.
