Tokenized Real-World Assets Market Surges to $30 Billion
The tokenized real-world assets (RWA) market has experienced significant growth in recent months, with the total value nearing $30 billion. According to Chainalysis data, institutional capital is driving this expansion across blockchain networks.
Asset-backed credit has been a standout segment, reaching $1 billion in just six months. This pace highlights a structural shift in capital deployment, as institutional players increasingly prioritize blockchain rails for settlement and issuance.
The tokenized RWA market has expanded unevenly across asset classes. While total value nears $30 billion, growth clusters around specific institutional products. Asset-backed credit required less than 6 months to reach $1 billion, compared to over 36 months for commodities and more than 21 months for specialty finance.
The rise of tokenized RWAs is also attracting new on-chain users. Chainalysis analysis of nearly 400,000 RWA-holding wallets reveals a sharp shift in user behavior. A growing share of wallets now enter crypto ecosystems specifically for tokenized assets.
