North Korea Linked to Majority of Crypto Hack Losses
A new study by TRM Labs has shed light on a significant increase in cryptocurrency-related security breaches, with a notable majority attributed to actors associated with North Korea. The report highlights that approximately 76% of total hack-related losses in early 2026 have been linked to these groups.
The findings suggest that a concentration of cyber activity in the cryptocurrency sector has resulted in substantial losses for digital asset platforms. These incidents include attacks on exchanges, decentralized platforms, and other components of the ecosystem.
