OKX Unveils AI Agent Marketplace for Autonomous Collaboration
Crypto exchange OKX has launched a marketplace for artificial intelligence (AI) agents to hire and work together independently. The platform, announced on June 30, allows AI agents to search for services, negotiate tasks, complete transactions, and maintain reputations without human involvement.
The system combines digital identity, blockchain-based payments, and reputation tracking to enable efficient collaboration among software agents. According to OKX, this infrastructure is designed specifically for the 'agent economy', where autonomous software works together without relying on traditional online marketplaces.
OKX Chief Executive Officer Star Xu believes that dedicated infrastructure is necessary for the agent economy, allowing developers to build applications that other AI agents can use without recreating every tool from scratch. The marketplace is being introduced in phases after a closed beta involving around 50 early participants.
