US Senate Faces Tight Deadline for Cryptocurrency Regulation Bill
The US Senate is running out of time to pass the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act, according to Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse. Speaking at Consensus 2026 in Miami, Garlinghouse warned that if lawmakers fail to address the bill within the next two weeks, its chances of being approved will drop precipitously.
The CLARITY Act has already passed the House and advanced through the Senate Agriculture Committee, but it still needs approval from the Senate Banking Committee before it can move to the full Senate. The bill aims to provide clarity on digital asset market structure and prevent regulatory chaos in the sector.
