BlackRock Deploys 15 Billion-Dollar Crypto Bundle into Coinbase Prime
Financial giant BlackRock has made another significant cryptocurrency deposit into Coinbase Prime. According to on-chain data, the company deposited 7,432 Bitcoin and 8,150 Ethereum on an unspecified date. These transactions are tied to BlackRock's ETF operations, specifically the iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) and its Ethereum counterpart.
The transfer is a routine operation for maintaining liquidity and managing ETF structures, rather than a signal of bearish sentiment. Analysts emphasize that this distinction matters, as misreading institutional plumbing as market conviction has burned traders before.
This latest deposit fits within the established pattern of large transfers by BlackRock to Coinbase Prime, which have exceeded $250 million to $600 million on several occasions. The combined values of these individual transfers have regularly topped $336 million and $250 million in previous instances.
