Web3 Professionals Face Stiff Competition as 54% Struggle to Secure First Job
A recent report by Bitget highlights the challenges faced by aspiring Web3 professionals in securing their first job. The study found that over 54% of respondents were unable to secure a position, with many citing a lack of practical experience as a major obstacle.
The survey, which was conducted as part of the Blockchain4Youth initiative, gathered responses from junior and early-career professionals across various regions. While the Web3 sector continues to attract top talent, the report suggests that the main challenge is not a shortage of skills but rather access to experience.
The majority of respondents (54%) identified a lack of prior professional experience as the biggest barrier to entry in the industry. Meanwhile, 52% noted that their education provided theoretical knowledge but did not equip them with practical skills applicable to the workforce. This gap between education and job readiness is a pressing concern, especially considering the growth of blockchain education worldwide.
