Binance Reports Surge in Emerging Market Crypto Adoption
Binance has released a report highlighting the significant surge in crypto adoption among emerging markets. According to the data, 77% of Binance users in 2026 come from emerging markets, up from 49% in 2020.
The exchange attributes this growth to the increasing use of crypto platforms as substitute financial infrastructure in areas where banking access remains limited. This trend is evident in the statistics provided by Binance, which show that 83% of users engaging with two or more products on the platform are based in emerging markets.
The report also highlights the growing use of stablecoins among emerging market users, who hold at least half of their portfolio in these assets. This trend is consistent with savings-oriented usage and points to the increasing importance of stablecoins as a low-cost and instant means of remittances and savings.
