Bitget Launches Stock+ Feature Allowing Crypto Users to Buy Real US Stocks

Bitget has launched Stock+, its Stocks 2.0 feature that allows users to buy real U.S. stocks using cryptocurrencies. This new service is available to eligible users who want to invest in equities within their crypto account.

The company emphasized that Bitget Stock+ is not a synthetic stock product or derivative, but rather a way for users to gain ownership of underlying shares through regulated brokers. As such, holders can be eligible for cash dividends and stock split adjustments associated with their position.

Trading on Bitget Stock+ occurs based on U.S. trading times, which includes pre-market, regular trading, and after-hours sessions. The service also provides a method for crypto owners to access U.S. stocks without having to switch accounts through different banks and brokerages.

Bitget CEO Gracy Chen said that ownership was central to the launch of Stock+, stating that access is significant, but 'ownership is critical.' She noted that giving users real ownership in U.S.-listed companies helps connect crypto markets with traditional finance.
