Grinex to Compensate Clients Affected by $13 Million Hack

Grinex, one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges in the Russian-speaking market, has announced plans to compensate clients who lost assets in a recent hack.

The exchange was breached in mid-April, with hackers draining an estimated 1 billion rubles' worth of cryptocurrency. The funds, currently valued at over $13 million, remain in wallets controlled by the attackers.

Grinex has identified the attackers' wallets and is working with experts to find ways to return the funds to affected clients.

An investigation into the case has been opened by Russian police, and Grinex has shared all gathered information with law enforcement.
