CZ Returns to US for Trump-Backed Crypto Event in Palm Beach

Former Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ) has made his first visit to the United States since being released from prison in 2024. The visit took place at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, where CZ attended a convention hosted by World Liberty Financial, a company backed by the Trump family.

The event brought together prominent figures from finance, technology, and entertainment, including Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon, New York Stock Exchange president Lynn Martin, and Coinbase founder Brian Armstrong. The gathering was also attended by several other Trump administration officials, including Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) Chairman Michael Selig.

CZ, who has been barred from operating in the US since 2023 due to violations of anti-money-laundering rules, shared a photo on social media of himself listening to a top federal crypto regulator, stating that he 'learned a lot' during his visit.
