NFT Market Surges Past $6B on Single Whale's $7.8M CryptoPunks Purchase

The global NFT market has seen significant growth, jumping by 16.9% to reach $6.04 billion, its highest level since early February.

This surge comes on the back of a massive single transaction, with one whale purchasing 45 CryptoPunks for over 2,080 Ethereum, worth around $7.8 million, through OpenSea today.

The buyer's acquisition has had a ripple effect, pushing CryptoPunks' floor price up by 15.9% to 47.5 Ethereum.

Analysts point out that traders are revisiting major NFT projects due to speculation that digital collectibles remain underpriced.
